HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FACIAL?

This is one of the most common questions we get at SkinRx Aesthetic Clinic. Like most good questions the answer usually starts with “it depends”. To simplify things, we will divide the answer into two categories.

The first one is skin experiencing an issue or specific condition, like acne, rosacea or brown spots. In this case the specific treatment program will dictate the protocol, but in most cases once a week will really help get the condition under control. After this initial treatment program a maintenance schedule can be used.

For the purpose of this article we will focus on the second category which is general skin maintenance and this schedule is dictated by the body. The skin is like a factory or conveyor belt, delivering new skin cells to the surface every 21-30 days. That’s how long it takes your skin to move through the full life cycle of skin cell growth and exfoliation. A facial helps that process along. The treatment will keep your skin clean, clear, and toned. Having one every four weeks helps you maintain that beautiful glow all month long. Not only will your monthly facial deeply cleanse your skin and free it of toxins, it will stimulate the exfoliation process. This deep exfoliation is necessary for skin to appear more toned and youthful-looking plus, it allows the products to penetrate into the skin.

These regularly scheduled treatments don’t have to be complicated or crazy expensive. At SkinRx we believe basic is a great place to start with skincare. Educating our clients about their skin and getting it in ideal shape is the focus. Once we get the basics right, we build from there. Our main goal is to give you the information you need to take care of your skin in the best possible way. Together we can create your best and healthiest skin.
